Photo Day Registration
What do I need to do for my child to be photographed?
Step 1: Complete the Registration Form
Click HERE to register your child before Photo Day.
Registration is essential as it provides permission for us to photograph your child. Unfortunately, children who are not registered cannot be photographed individually.
Photo Package Pricing
We offer a range of flexible packages to suit all budgets.
- A mix of either single or multiple Digital Images: from $35 each
- Print Packages: Starting from $50
- Class/Group Photo Prints: $25 (discounted when purchased with any package)
- Combo Packages: include a mix of Print & Digital & Class Photo Options

Siblings Photos
Yes, we love sibling photos. If siblings attend the same centre.
- Each child must be registered.
- Please select the same Photo Day for each sibling.
- Sibling Packages are sold separately to each child's individual portrait packages.
What Photos Are Taken?
Play-inspired preschool portraits capture children exactly as they are — playful, curious, and full of joy. Through relaxed, play-led moments within your child’s familiar playground environment, each portrait beautifully reflects their personality and love for play.
We capture a combination of both portrait-style and play-inspired images to create a well-rounded gallery that tells your child’s unique story.
Each child’s gallery will include approximately 10–15 carefully curated images.
What If My Child Is Absent?
We understand illness and unexpected circumstances happen.
- If we are still photographing at the centre, we will try to reschedule your child.
What Should My Child Wear?
The best photos focus on your child’s personality and natural expressions — fancy outfits are not necessary. Clean, comfortable clothing works beautifully.
If you have specific clothing requests, please:
- Note this in your registration form, AND
- Inform your child’s teacher.
- Can I Include Siblings Who Do Not Attend the Centre?
For Preschools and Community Kindergartens only, we offer sessions with older school-aged siblings (time permitting).
- Must be booked during registration
- Starting deposit: $25 (not redeemable toward packages)
- Deposit increases depending on number of children
We are unable to photograph younger siblings who are not enrolled at the centre due to time and scheduling limitations.

Friendship Photos
Friendship photos are available by special request for kindergarten-aged children.
Due to privacy requirements, written permission (email is fine) is required from all parents involved, as these images will appear in each child’s gallery.
Please organise permissions prior to Photo Day.
What If My Child Is Shy or Unsure?
We allow extra time to gently build trust and help children feel comfortable. While smiles are wonderful, we also capture genuine expressions and natural moments. For younger aged and toddler children, we photograph them during their awake time. If they are sleeping, we will return later during the session where possible.
Ordering Photos
I Haven’t Received My Gallery Email — What Do I Do?

Include your child’s:
- Full name
- Centre
- Class
I’m Having Trouble Ordering Online
For best results, we recommend ordering from a desktop or laptop, as mobile devices can be more difficult to navigate when selecting packages.
Payment Options
Payments can be made via:
- Credit Card (secure checkout)
- Direct Bank Deposit (must be paid on the same day as ordering)
Cash payments are not accepted.
All pricing includes GST.
Credit card fees are currently absorbed by us.
How Long Do I Have to Order?
There is a 2 week ordering time frame to place your order. Orders placed by the due date receive complimentary delivery to the centre.
You will receive:
- Email notifications
- A due date displayed in your gallery
What If I Miss the Ordering Deadline?
For Digital pu$15 late/postage fee applies and your order will be posted within approximately 28 days.
Digital Images
I Purchased Digital Files But Haven’t Received Them
Digital files are automatically emailed after purchase. Please check:
- Junk/spam folders
- The email address used during checkout
If you still cannot locate them, contact jodie@preschoolportraits.co.nz
I Forgot to Download My Digital Images
Download links remain active until the end of the calendar year. We strongly recommend backing up your photos in at least two locations. Please ensure you download your purchased images ASAP.
Printed Photo Delivery
Printed orders placed before the deadline will be delivered to your child’s centre approximately 7-10 days after print orders close.
